Oakover Grounds was established in the Swan Valley 1850’s with the first grapes being planted by Samuel Moore.

Several vineyards in the Valley were established on some of the first ribbon grants of land in the state. The name given to one such grant was “Oakover” so when third generation farmers, the Yukich family, purchased the property from Houghton’s in 1985 on the old Oakover grant, they looked to the pioneering spirit of the past in naming the winery.

The cellar door was opened in 1990 on the site with the wine being produced at Jane Brook Winery until 2002 when Rob Marshall came onboard as the Head Winemaker & CEO, this was changed to the property where all our wines have been produced ever since, crushing between 700 – 1000 tonne of fruit per year.

The restaurant opened 10 years after the cellar door in 2000 offering a formal dining option in the Swan Valley.  In 2014 the venue went through complete refurbishment with the change to the industrial style barn that it is today utilizing the same building and the same amazing views across the lake and grounds.

With a few new family friendly additions, Oakover Grounds is the home of Oakover Wines and FiORi Coffee. We welcome you to enjoy our wide open space, delicious food, coffee and wine while you take in the Swan Valley air!
